Brigritte Peterhans
The history of architecture has a lot of amazing stories that are often untold. I had never heard of Brigitte Peterhans until David Fleener had started to work on a wonderful book that collected the life and work of this influential architect. Going from IIT to SOM, Peterhans was a force that led to one of my favorite buildings in Chicago, the Inland Steel Building. Working with Bruce Graham, she led the interiors for a workplace that was one of the first column free, open work spaces.
